The Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute (MTRI) is a non-profit co-operative research institute that promotes collaborative research, monitoring and management of biodiversity and sustainable resource use in the Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve (SNBR) and beyond. MTRI operates a field station in Kempt, Nova Scotia for researchers, staff and volunteers who help MTRI to achieve its mission and share what they do with Nova Scotians.
