Plain species, known in Canada only from a small number of lakeshores in
Nova Scotia. The populations are small and very restricted in
distribution. Threats to the species include; human alteration and loss of
lakeshore habitats, water pollution, destruction of populations and
habitat by ATV’s and other recreational activities.
